No Selfless Deed

Ya know the episode of Friends where Joey tells Phoebe there is no selfless deed? I think I suddenly figured it out... There is no selfless deed. That makes me sad. So does the idea that I've never had an original thought... I suppose that topic is for another day. But either way I tried to do a good thing that I didn't need to do but I realized I did it to be "the better person". Darnit. Anyway, below is the episode I'm refering to.

on being thankful

To all those who serve, thank you for allowing me to live in a free country.

In the last years I've met a lot of men and women who serve our nation and I really admire them for everything they've done. I'm also really thankful that I have gotten to meet them because their desire to serve is truly admirable.

Side note: As Thanksgiving approaches (oh shoot it's already November?!) I've realized that we should be more thankful on a daily basis rather than just that one day of the year. Sure when bad things happen we tend think about the things we are thankful for, but I'm going to try to do that a little more often. Don't forget to thank yourself once in awhile. Often at the end of yoga, the instructor tells us to thank ourselves for making time to go, a bit silly, but hey, I'm glad I let myself go instead of doing X.

Umm excited much?

I'm so beyond excited for this. Since Vegas was going to be a little difficult to work in before Thanksgiving, this would have to do. And to be honest, if I can't lay out by a pool, then I almost don't know what's the point in going to Vegas (ok that's not true but it really is top 3 things I want to do there). So Lakers game it is! Might not be the best seats but it's ok. I can sit courtside next time?

Far Something?

Far East Movement did a show at the Key Club in Hollywood, so I thought it would be fun to check them out with some of my girlfriends. It turned out to be this huge ordeal with a ton of people also wanting to see them. Including people who apparently didn't even know who they were (I'll get to that). Long story short, they tried to cut the line off which just resulted in people crowding and trying to cut. So desperate to see them, our group sure enough cut in line. Luckily the people we cut in front of weren't even interested enough to care. Someone even walked up to the girl behind us and asked what the line was for. Her response was, "Its a show for Far? something?" Let's just say everyone within a 10 ft radius of her gave her a dirty look and definitely rolled their eyes. I can't complain, we got to cut in front of her and ended up with a sweet view once we got inside from the second level.

These guys are so much fun. Needless to say, really awesome night. Still on a Rocketeer high. So much so, I'll even add their new video for it. It's just fabulous.

I'm OK without the Tree-Houses

But I won't say no to them either, especially when the have views of the Pacific. Completely in love with this house in Carmel... where do I get $6 mil? For more about the house, click here.
Fountains, cantilevered lots, metal railings... love.
