Catching up: Part 6

Upon return home from Chicago, I spent a few days desperately trying to catch up on homework before heading out for girl's weekend in Vegas. Friday afternoon we packed the car up and the three of us headed out to Vegas (one was flying in to meet us from SF). First night we hit up Tryst where we had a good time. We even saw Dave Chappelle who had a table behind our table. Saturday afternoon we spent the afternoon at Encore beach and learned that water, sun, and alcohol result in messy situations. We actually kept it classy and enjoyed ourselves a bit. Later that night, our friend who was in Vegas for a huge basketball tournament joined us to get ready. We prepartied at TAO during their open bar hour and then hit up XS for the rest of the night. Ridiculously good time with a bit of drama (ex-bf, bloody noses, the usual), and running into everyone you could possibly know (hello kindergarten). At more than one point in the night, a conversation was had over the belief that we knew each other and having to figure out how... awkward... sort of but not really. Most people leave Vegas around noon, I had to drag my girls home at 4:30. Good weekend. I think we're still recovering.

Girl's Weekend

So my fabulous friend Ila is soon to be officially married. I say officially because I'm not sure how much will change since she and her fiance always seemed married to me. Anyway, this weekend we celebrated her last all-girl outing as an unmarried woman. It was perfectly classy, relaxing, and quite enjoyable to say the least. There was amazing food, fabulous conversation, and Ila did not get alcohol poisoning so I would call this weekend a success.
